Its passive thermal architecture uses passive cooling and resistive heating, with no fans, compressors, chillers, fluid loops or fire-suppression hardware, which Peak Energy says cuts aux-power draw for temperature maintenance by 95%. The system is designed for a 20-year life with no scheduled maintenance and no augmentation, with 7,300 guaranteed cycles and 99% guaranteed availability under LTSA. It integrates as a drop-in BESS using standard EMS integration points and standard inverters, with no auxiliary hook-up. The NFPP chemistry contains no lithium, cobalt, nickel or graphite and, according to the maker, has a higher thermal-runaway threshold than LFP.
