LUNA2000-2.0MWH-1H1 is a containerised battery unit in Huawei's Smart String ESS series, with a nominal energy capacity of 2,032 kWh and a charge and discharge rate of up to 1 C. Huawei presents its Smart String Grid-Forming ESS as protected by five layers of integrated safety design spanning cells, battery packs, racks, systems and the grid, covering manufacturing, logistics, commissioning and maintenance. Each battery pack has an independent optimizer to maximize its power output potential, while a smart rack controller maintains a stable power supply and allows flexible voltage regulation. A four-tiered management system extends real-time monitoring from individual cells to the system level, and automatic SOC calibration reduces manual intervention. The container is smart air cooled, rated IP55 and C5-Medium for anti-corrosion, and operates from -30°C to 55°C.
