Founded in 1987, Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, with approximately 213,000 employees, operations in more than 170 countries and regions, and a company that is 100% privately owned by its employees. Its Digital Power and FusionSolar business covers residential, commercial and industrial, and utility-scale smart PV and energy storage, spanning Smart PV controllers, Smart PCS, Smart String ESS and Smart String Grid Forming ESS solutions built on a five-layer cell-to-grid safety design. Utility-scale storage is delivered as containerised Smart String ESS such as the LUNA2000-2.0MWH series, with nominal energy capacities of 2,032-2,064 kWh per container, smart air cooling and IP55 protection. Huawei reports total R&D spending of CNY 192.3 billion in 2025 (21.8% of revenue) and states that its digital power solutions have helped customers generate more than 2 trillion kWh of green power.
