Characteristics
3 of 4 fields · all sourced · retrieved 2026-10-31Sulzer SJT-GEO is a hot water pump designed for geothermal production in shallow wells, and it can be adapted to the optimum length to pump hot water at the needed output flow. It uses a line shaft vertical pump configuration, which Sulzer recommends for shallow wells with a water level above -650 m because it is adaptable and simple to maintain. The 12" nominal bowl (externally machined to 11 5/8") fits into 14" wells and delivers up to 680 m³/h, with heads up to 700 m and temperatures up to 220 °C. It is designed for variable speed drive motors up to 2,200 rpm, and bowls and impellers with extended endplay up to 5½" allow pump lengths up to 750 m. Replaceable bowl wear rings, extended clearances and intermediate threaded shaft couplings make assembly and disassembly easier.
