DuraStor 240

DuraStor 240 is a containerised flywheel storage system from Stornetic, built for fast power storage and housing four maintenance-free EnWheel 60 flywheels. It comes as a turnkey, fully integrated and factory-tested system. It runs on its own and is largely independent of local and climatic conditions. It connects to existing low-voltage grids without a complex control interface, and it can also be integrated with an EMS or SCADA system when needed. Stornetic says it is best suited to continuous power cycling, with no degradation over its lifetime and no hazardous materials. Applications include frequency regulation and voltage stabilisation, load firming and energy management, hybrid operation with CHP or battery systems, and microgrid stabilisation, including seamless switching between grid forming and grid following.
