SALT BESS 2.3

SALT BESS 2.3 is a turnkey 20-foot container system from SALZSTROM's industrial line that delivers 2.3 MWh of usable energy using sodium-ion cells. The lithium-free system is built for demanding industrial applications, with high cell safety and no critical raw materials such as lithium or cobalt. SALZSTROM describes the sodium iron phosphate technology as offering high safety, a wide temperature range and strong performance in demanding uses such as peak shaving. In its first commercial order, three 2.3 MWh containers are to be installed at industrial sites with existing photovoltaic plants to raise solar self-consumption, cut load peaks and make better use of grid connections. The system is also available for leasing.
