KWK 60/20 kW

The Hargassner KWK 60/20 is a wood-gas combined heat and power plant made of a gasifier unit and a generator unit, producing heat and electricity from untreated wood chips. Wood chips are partially combusted with a defined air supply, and the resulting wood gas is cooled, dry-filtered and fed to an industrial gas engine driving a water-cooled generator, with an exhaust catalyst and exhaust heat recovery. The electricity is fed into the public grid, while the heat is used for space heating, drying or similar purposes. The modular, heat- and sound-insulated units need only 2.5 m² of floor space, and the gasifier offers automatic fuel detection, heat exchanger cleaning and ash removal. Hargassner targets agriculture, commercial and industrial sites, public buildings and local heating network operators.
