GG-Series

The GG-Series is an oil-lubricated gas screw compressor that brings Atlas Copco's Variable Speed Drive technology to biogas upgrading and biomethane gas grid injection, delivering flow levels up to 1000 Nm³/h at constant discharge pressure. The VSD continuously adjusts motor speed to follow gas demand, matching power consumption to the plant's production level and keeping pressure fluctuations to the grid very low. The units are 100% gas-tight, comply with ATEX Zone 2 and CE directives, and handle security functions through a SIL2 PLC according to IEC 61508, with an Elektronikon Mk5 controller and SmartLink monitoring. Water-cooled versions can be fitted with an Energy Recovery unit that recovers up to 75% of the electrical energy converted into compression heat, for sanitary water, space heating or process use such as keeping a biodigester warm. The compressor is designed as a complete turnkey unit, with options including an outlet water separator, inlet filtration and canopy.
