Characteristics
3 of 4 fields · all sourced · retrieved 2026-11-01MAK Water's Demineralised Water Reverse Osmosis (DMRO) plants treat fresh water with less than 1,000 mg/L of dissolved solids and less than 30 mg/L of suspended solids to produce high purity demineralised water with TDS below 1 mg/L. The standard process combines pre-filtration (auto-backwashing multimedia filters and cartridge filters), anti-scalant dosing to prevent membrane scaling, two-pass RO desalination and a CIP system for membrane cleaning. Adding optional mixed bed ion exchange or continuous electro-deionization (CEDI) brings TDS below 0.1 mg/L, and further pre-RO or post-RO treatment steps can be added to suit feed water conditions or treated water quality requirements. The plants are available as skid mounted or containerised systems.
