SUBTRAN is a submerged centrifugal pump from Cryostar for liquid transfer, LNG stations and micro-bulk delivery, handling LIN, LAR and LNG at a design pressure of 20 bar. It is driven by a variable-speed submerged electric motor that is cooled by the pumped fluid, and its motor bearings are lubricated by the process fluid for a "zero-maintenance" design. A balanced, machined inducer keeps the NPSH requirement low across the performance curve, and closed impellers made by lost-wax casting work with a machined axial diffuser and an aluminium cold end to keep the pump light. The sealless design starts and stops immediately with minimal cool-down time, runs at a very low noise level, and is sized to fit interchangeably into existing similar sump installations. It can be ground or truck mounted and comes in flanged (FV), low-pressure barrel (LP) or removal pump (RP) versions, and each unit is mechanically and cryogenically tested before shipment.
