Neptun Glomfjord green ammonia plant

Casale signed a contract with Neptun Glomfjord Green Ammonia AS for the engineering and supply of a 100 MTD modular green ammonia plant at Glomfjord Industrial Park, Norway, delivered under an EPF (engineering, procurement and fabrication) model. The plant uses Casale's proprietary SMART-N technology, developed for small-scale ammonia production and suited to renewable hydrogen feedstock. Its modular concept is engineered to balance fabrication-yard modularization costs against on-site assembly and installation costs, reducing the volume and complexity of site work. The facility is designed to operate from 10% to 100% of nominal capacity, with the synthesis section running at about 50% load for a period after start-up under a staged hydrogen production strategy. The ammonia will be processed by third parties into nitric acid, ANS and fertilizers.
