CycloneCC™ is a modular carbon capture system with a 'plug and play' design. Small-to-midsize industrial emitters can use it to spread their capture investment over time. It combines rotating packed beds (RPBs), which use centrifugal force to intensify mass transfer, with Carbon Clean's proprietary APBS-CDRMax® amine-promoted buffer salt solvent. The RPBs replace every column used in conventional solutions. This makes the mass transfer equipment ten times smaller and the overall unit footprint up to 50% smaller, with up to 50% savings on total installed cost and no loss in performance. Units are 100% prefabricated, road-truckable and built from standardised base designs that can be adapted to site conditions. They capture between 75 and 855 tonnes of CO2 per day per train, and more modules can be added over time as decarbonisation plans grow.
