S-4

The S-4 is the fourth generation of BOGE's oil-lubricated S series of screw compressors, available air- or water-cooled from 37 to 75 kW with free air delivery of up to 13.54 m³/min. BOGE describes it as a fundamentally new design, built around its in-house IntegrateDrive compressor stage, which comes either with an integrated, fully enclosed gearbox or as a direct drive with optional speed control. Drive motors are IE4 high-efficiency units, and the smaller frequency-controlled models use permanent magnet motors. Noise is reduced by an elastic "SilentMount" suspension of motor and compressor stage, a slow-running radial fan and multiply deflected cooling air ducting, while an easy-access design lets the oil and air coolers slide out through a side service door and the oil separator lasts up to 9,000 operating hours. Paired with BOGE Duotherm, up to 72 % of the input energy can be recovered as usable heat for space heating, hot water or process use.
