FCwave

FCwave™ is a cabinet-based PEM fuel cell module that Ballard offers in 200 kW units, scalable from 200 kW up to 1.2 MW for marine vessels and stationary power. The design draws on more than eight generations of product development and heavy-duty module experience, and it carries type approval certification from DNV for operation in marine environments. All interfaces are reachable from the front of the cabinet, which Ballard presents as a way to simplify integration and keep servicing and total lifecycle cost low. Stated uses run from in-land cargo vessels, passenger ferries, tugboats, research vessels and container feeders to shore power, backup power, EV charging and grid balancing.
