They serve processes that need high steam output (up to 80 t/h), high-pressure steam (up to 80 bar) or superheated steam (up to 550°C). The boiler has a lower feed water (mud) drum and an upper steam drum, joined by banks of water tubes. A superheater or economiser section is added depending on the steam quality required. Water circulates by convection between the two drums, and exhaust gases pre-heat both the combustion air and the feed water to improve efficiency. The range covers 4.5 to 80 t/h, at 95+% efficiency without an extra heat recovery system and 10–90 barg typical service pressure. It runs on all liquid and gaseous fuels, can be installed indoors or outdoors, is built to PED 2014/68/EU and EN 12952, and can run unattended for up to 72 hours.
